THE CHALLENGE

Our construction client in Cheshire needed to reduce their CO2 emissions and fuel costs by running their site on battery power for as long as possible, without compromising on performance.

THE SOLUTION

Our team assessed the client’s on-site power demands before recommending an optimised solution that was appropriate for the application. Alongside a 60kVA generator, we proposed our Hussh Pod 45/90 – 90kWh of useable energy storage with 45kVA three-phase inverters.

THE RESULTS

The integration of the Hussh Pod into the client’s power set up reduced generator run time over the hire period by 620 hours, saving the client £5,582 in fuel costs and reducing CO2 emissions by 9,821.91kg.

Over the period, the site has ran 81% on battery, leaving only 19% on the generator.

As part of the Power Saving Solutions service, reporting was sent to the client to demonstrate performance, savings and return on investment.

Statistics based on a comparison of using a sole traditional 60kVA diesel generator, at a cost of £1.50/L at 6L per hour.
